Welcome to Bedford Crew!

The Bedford Crew program was founded in 2010 and is based in Bedford, NH.  Previously based in the Amoskeag Rowing Club boathouse, we now row out of our new dock site in Hooksett, N.H., just north of Hooksett Self Storage on a beautiful stretch of the Merrimack River.  We usually have 80 - 90 rowers each spring and fall season with many of those choosing to participate in our winter training program.

Spring 2023 - NEIRA Recap

Bedford High School raced 3 eight-boats in the NEIRA Championships on Saturday May 27 .  All 3 boats qualified for a final-level race.   In the 6 races that we rowed (3 Heats and 3 Finals), you would always find a Bedford boat in the mix of a tight race jostling with the other boats to get ahead.  Here's how close these races were.

  • In the Grand Final, the girls' 3V boat came in 4th place, just  0.202 seconds behind Hanover and 1.542 seconds ahead of Kent.

  • The girls' 2V team placed 3rd in their Petite Final race, 1.752 seconds behind Hanover and 2.996 seconds ahead of Hingham

  • In the Petite Final for the girls' 1V, the Bedford team came in second, beating Hotchkiss by 0.167 seconds and 2.487 seconds behind Hanover

In our first year of racing in NEIRA, we showed the rowing community that our school can compete with the best rowing schools from New England.  All 3 teams rowed their hearts out, and finished ahead of their seeding.  It was a great day of racing for the Bedford High School Crew team.
