We offer an introductory Learn to Row program to Lurgio Middle School students when staffing allows. The program typically runs after school on Fridays during the fall season (August, September and October). Information about any upcoming sessions will be posted here (see below).

We are excited to offer our popular Learn to Row Program this fall. The Lurgio Rowing Program is organized by Bedford Crew with the purpose of exposing Lurgio students to the sport of rowing. Once registered, you will receive follow-up information from Bedford Crew.

 

When: The Fall 2022 program will run on the following dates:

 

• Monday August 15, 6:00pm: MANDATORY safety video (BHS Auditorium) and swim test (7:00pm @Bedford Bluffs)

• Saturday, August 20, 8:00-10:00am: Land training – BHS.  Meet in Bulldog Corner.

• Sunday, August 21, 8:00-10:00am: Water practice – Bulldog Landing

• Friday, August 26, 5:30-7:00pm: Water practice – Bulldog Landing

• Friday, September 2, 5:30-7:00pm: Water practice – Bulldog Landing

• Friday, September 9, 5:30-7:00pm: Water practice – Bulldog Landing

• Friday, September 16, 5:30-7:00pm: Water practice – Bulldog Landing

• Friday, September 23, 5:30-7:00pm: Water practice – Bulldog Landing

• Friday, September 30, 5:30-7:00pm: Water practice – Bulldog Landing

• Sunday October 16, 9:00 – 3:00pm (optional): Cheer on BHS Crew at the NH Championships Regatta and enjoy the Chew Crew cuisine at the BHS crew food tent – Memorial Field, Pembroke, NH

Cost: There is a participation fee of $250 to cover the cost of insurance, equipment, coach fees, gasoline for the launches etc.

Priority is given to 8th grade students and then 7th graders will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited to 20 participants. THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING REGISTRATION FORMS IS Friday August 12!
